1. The confidentiality code was violated by giving out the mothers number as well as posted her information on the door where others could see it.
2. The confidentiality code was violated when the teacher talked about Eric to another teacher.
3. Yes, that way everyone would know what was going on and no one would have to wonder about him and ask questions.
4. The two directors, the child, the childs mom, and the childs teacher, should have been at this meeting.
5. Yes, I think letting the kids no before hand would have helped them to not ask some many questions or make fun of him.
6. Allowing him to bring in his Elmo toy and letting him get comfortable with everything as well as the children.
7. I feel like the teacher should not have said anything to the people she was will. Espically in a public place when other people are around to hear what she is saying.
8. I still do not think that conversation should have been talked about unless it was with the director.
9. I would go over with the teacher that she does not need to talk about her children unless it to me or the other director.
10. I think the mother should not leave this child here, all these things have happened after one day. Think about all the other things that could happen in a week or a month.
11. I think moving Eric again would confuse him and make it harder for him to adjust to a different place but I think it is the better option seeing as the center is not doing a very good job for his needs.

Journal 4

When someone does not make eye contact with me it makes me feel like I am not important enough for them to devote all of their attention to me. It hurts when I am given the cold shoulder, it kind of shows that someone is mad at you or that you may have done something wrong. When someone only comes to you with complaints it starts to get really annoying. It feel like they can never say anything positive and only want to bring your mood down.

Activity 2.1 Creating Consistent Messages
I would handle this scenario by telling the parents to refer to the handbook where it stats that no not products may be brought to school. If a child that was allergic to nuts came into the room where the cookies were they could get very ill.

I would handle this scenario by telling that teacher that it would not be fair to give her the shift every friday and exclude evey other teacher from it. I would then have dicuss this with each staff member and if they were okay with not being able to work on that certian time then she would be able to keep working every Friday.

Activity 2.2 Handling Confrontation
In this scenario I would confront this teacher about taking the plans I had for the unit calmly and explain that it made me very anger and that I would like her to take them down from bulletin board. If this did not work I would then go to the director and ask her what she thinks I can do about the situation.

I would handle this situation by calmly telling the father that the child never came to me about the situation nor did she every cry about it. I would then tell him that even though this was never brought to my attention by the child; I will make sure to monitor the room better.

Activity 1.1 Identifying Your Audiences
I frequently interact with children, other teachers, the director, and parents.

Activity 1.2 Additional Conversation
I think this should include when and where the child was bitten. Will the childs parents that bit be notified about what happened. Did one my child do something to make the biting child come towards them for a reason.

Activity 1.3 Define Who You Are
I visualize my business as pretty small, not too big or a ton of children. I see 3 rooms with ages 6 months to 4 year olds.
I feel like we are an affordable child care. Our rates are the same as the others around us.
We are academically oriented; we teach as though getting the child ready for pre school.
We huge policy of ours is to keep everything clean. With as many germs that go around we make sure to clean everything really well at the end of the day.
Our strengths are being able to communite with each other, let others know when something is needed, and staying calm in crazy situations.
I think our center can inprove by adding in more educational learing techniques.
