I think the best way for me to remember things is by seeing them or having someone show me how to do something. To reach parents that are visual you could reenact what happened and show them how and where something happened. To reach an auditory parent you can explain to them exactly what happen by simply using your voice. A kinesthetic parent understands by doing not just listening or seeing what happens.
